YAC Con 2025: Youth Leaders Inspired to Make a Difference

YAC Con 2025

The Roscommon County Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) had the incredible opportunity to send three of its members—Hunter, Ash, and Eli—to this year’s Youth Grantmakers Summer Leadership Conference (YAC Con), held June 20–22 at Saginaw Valley State University. They were joined by RCCF’s YAC Coordinator, Ellie Luck.

From inspiring workshops to meaningful peer connections, the conference gave our YAC members a chance to grow as leaders, build friendships, and discover new ways to make an impact in Roscommon County.

Student Reflections 💬

Our YAC members returned home energized and motivated, sharing powerful takeaways from their experience:

  • Hunter: “YAC Con was life changing. The people I met and skills I learned are something I will forever remember. Such an unforgettable time and experience.”
  • Eli: “YAC Con was an experience like no other. It gave me the last push I needed to get out of my shell and allowed me to make new amazing friends outside of my community. Thank you to everyone who made it happen!”
  • Ash: Attending for the third year, Ash continues to bring back valuable insights, friendships, and motivation that benefit the entire Youth Advisory Council.

Why YAC Con Matters

YAC Con is more than just a leadership conference—it’s an empowering space where youth come together to share ideas, explore philanthropy, and develop the confidence to be changemakers in their communities.

For RCCF’s YAC members, it’s a chance to learn, grow, and return home ready to strengthen Roscommon County through grantmaking, service, and leadership.
