Roscommon County’s lakes and rivers are an integral part of the inherent beauty of “up north” in Michigan. Established in 1998, this Fund is devoted to projects, causes or activities serving to protect, improve or increase appreciation of the natural environment and clean water of Roscommon County’s lakes and rivers.

2015- United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 2603 receives grant from RCCF for GPS Units for Facilities

The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) recently provided a $747.54 grant to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 2603. The grant was awarded to assist with the purchase of three new GPS Units for Facilities. The John Morley Family Endowment for Higgins Lake granted $300.00 and the Roscommon County Lakes & Rivers Fund assisted with a grant of $447.54.
The project enabled the Coast Guard to supply 3 volunteer vessels with high quality GPS units that will be used to assist in search and rescue efforts on the lakes of Roscommon County.
