Michael R. Treml was a gifted athlete while in high school and died in 2008 as a result of an automobile accident. His family wanted to honor his memory by awarding an annual scholarship in his name.
The Michael R. Treml Memorial Athletic Scholarship is awarded as an annual freshman year scholarship, presented to a graduating student from the Gerrish-Higgins Roscommon High School. The qualifying student must have participated in at least two high school athletic sports programs and have maintained a C+ (2.3) or better GPA.
