Kelly Jean Dunmire was born in Orange County, California on December 4, 1960. She became part of the Roscommon community in 1997 when she moved here from Lapeer. Kelly attended Markey Community Baptist Church, was a member of Moose Lodge #1162, and a leader of the Woodland Family Dental’s Relay for Life team. Throughout her life, Kelly was very active in softball, basketball, volleyball, golf and bowling. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent her free time fishing nearby lakes in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.
Kelly put herself through college and then established herself as a dental hygienist at Woodland Family Dental where she worked for 11 years. When Kelly passed on April 9, 2008, Woodland Family Dental established the Kelly Dunmire Memorial Scholarship to honor her friendship, but most of all her life.
The Kelly Dunmire Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to provide a freshman scholarship to a female Roscommon High School graduating senior, who participates in sports, has a financial need, a GPA of 2.3 (C+) or better, and whom also intends to major in the dental or medical field.

Elise is an outstanding Roscommon High School graduate who has demonstrated dedication in her studies and will be attending Kirtland Community College in the fall to pursue a degree in Nursing.
