Scholarships Awarded
Jim “Smitty” Smith, a 1988 graduate of Roscommon High School and die-hard Lions fan, was very involved in high school sports, playing and helping coach. By establishing a fund with the Community Foundation, his wife, Kris Walker-Smith, says “We want to honor Jim by giving Roscommon students a chance to be involved in sports, and make memories that last a lifetime.”
The Jim “Smitty” Smith Athletic Fund will provide scholarships to 8th-11th grade Roscommon High School students to attend athletic summer camps.
