HLHS Class of 1983 Memorial Scholarship Fund

$2,025 Scholarships Awarded

The HLHS Class of 1983 Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior. Eligible applicants must have 3.0 or higher grade point average and plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school.

During the planning for their 35th reunion in 2018, members of the Houghton Lake High School Class of 1983 reflected on classmates who had passed away and considered ways to honor their memory. The group decided to start raising funds to establish a scholarship through the RCCF, aiming to present the first award by their 40th reunion in 2023. The goal was met and scholarships are now awarded annually.

Recently, the class mourned the loss of Lee Fuller and Rich Feole. The class remains committed to ongoing contributions to increase support for future Bobcat graduates in memory of their departed classmates.

Anyone, not just members of the Class of 1983, are encouraged to support this scholarship fund.
