The Roscommon County Community Foundation is proud to partner with the Houghton Lake Sports Boosters to grow the Houghton Lake Sports Booster Scholarship Fund. This fun and meaningful giving initiative invites our community to celebrate Bobcat athletic success while investing in students’ futures.

How It Works: Cheer on the Bobcats and turn every great play into a moment of generosity. When your favorite Bobcat athlete scores a point, breaks a record, or when the team brings home a win, consider making a donation to the Houghton Lake Sports Booster Scholarship Fund in their honor. Your gift helps grow the scholarship fund, which has already awarded six scholarships to Houghton Lake students since 2021. The more we raise together, the more opportunities we can create for future Bobcat graduates pursuing education after high school.

Recognition: When you make a donation in honor of a Bobcat athlete, yourself and that student athlete will be recognized in the Roscommon County Community Foundation’s Annual Report as part of this community celebration of achievement.

Giving Ideas – Support the Score

Here are a few fun ways to participate:

🏀 Every Point Counts
Donate $10 for every point your favorite Bobcat scores during a game.

🏈 Team Victory Gift
Celebrate a Bobcat win by donating $25 or $50 for every team victory.

🎽 Jersey Number Tribute
Honor your athlete by donating the amount of their jersey number.
Example: #12 = $12, $24, or $120.

📊 Game Stat Giving
Match their stats with your gift: $5 for every rebound, $5 for every assist, or $5 for every tackle or defensive play

⭐ Record Breaker Challenge
If an athlete meets or beats a school record, donate that number in their honor.
example: 11-second 100m = $11 or $110

No gift is too small. Every donation helps grow the scholarship fund and invest in the future of Houghton Lake students.

This scholarship will benefit graduating seniors from Houghton Lake High School who are continuing their education at an accredited college, university, community college or trade/technical/vocational school.

Seniors who apply MUST have participated in at least one sport every year for four years and have minimum grade point average of 3.5.
