Richard & Margaret Torongo Memorial Scholarship Fund

$8,316 Summer Enrichment Scholarships Awarded

Richard “Dick” Torongo fulfilled his life’s ambition of raising his children “up north” and coaching. He coached football and basketball and initiated the elementary track and field and basketball program in Roscommon.

Margaret “Marge” Torongo attended the Detroit Art Institute, then moved to Roscommon with her husband in 1969. She was a cofounder of Roscommon’s Art in the Park, and a volunteer for many organizations. Mrs. Torongo was the most “complete” when she was surrounded by family.
