Urgent Needs Fund

$33,997.05 Granted

In response to ongoing government funding shortages and the recent ice storm impacting our region, the Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) has reactivated the Urgent Needs Fund to support those most affected across the county.

This fund provides grants to local nonprofit organizations delivering essential, front-line services to individuals and families facing immediate hardship. While RCCF does not provide direct financial assistance to individuals, we proudly support the organizations working every day to meet urgent community needs.

Urgent Needs Fund History

The Urgent Needs Fund was originally established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic through the leadership of the RCCF Board of Trustees and support from the DTE Foundation. The fund was created to ensure that organizations serving individuals and families during times of crisis have the resources they need to respond quickly and effectively.

Today, the fund continues that mission—adapting to meet the most pressing needs in our community, including those arising from economic challenges and natural disasters like the recent ice storm.
