Roscommon, MI — The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is proud to celebrate a meaningful partnership with the Roscommon Rotary Club, resulting in a generous scholarship boost for local graduating seniors. Thanks to a matching donation initiative spearheaded by the Roscommon Rotary Club, a total of $23,402 was raised in support of scholarships through the Roscommon Rotary Club General Fund.
Community members donated an impressive $11,701, which the Roscommon Rotary Club matched dollar for dollar—demonstrating their strong commitment to the future of Roscommon’s youth.
The impact of this initiative was already felt this year. At RCCF’s Annual Scholarship Awards Dinner, five graduating seniors from Roscommon High School were honored as recipients of scholarships made possible by the Roscommon Rotary Club General Fund.
“This initiative was developed under the inspiring leadership of Roscommon Rotary Past President Cathy Erickson, whose vision and passion for student success guided the campaign,” said Heather Marra, Development Manager at RCCF. “It’s a shining example of how local partnerships can directly invest in the potential of our youth.”
Cathy Erickson said, “We believe in investing in the future of our community by supporting the dreams and ambitions of our young people. Growing our scholarship fund is one of the most meaningful ways we can make a lasting impact. By helping more students pursue further education, we’re not just opening doors for them—we’re strengthening the entire community.”
The Roscommon Rotary Club has a long-standing history of service and generosity in the community, and their recent effort reflects their ongoing mission to help young people achieve their academic and professional dreams. Scholarships provide critical support that eases the financial burden of higher education and empowers students to pursue their goals with confidence.
This collaboration highlights the power of community giving and the impact that local leadership can make when it comes to helping students succeed. RCCF encourages anyone who is passionate about education to consider contributing to a scholarship fund or creating one of their own.
