The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce they have awarded a $750.00 grant to the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 091-26-03 for new equipment for boating safety education. The Rogers Family Endowment for Houghton Lake Fund ($154.00) and the Roscommon County Lakes & Rivers Fund ($596.00) have awarded the funds to support this project.
Using their new equipment, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 091-26-03 plan to increase the number of classes and the number of students in their boating safety classes. According to Agnes Feldman, “The target population for these classes will be boaters, especially young and inexperienced boaters who live and visit here.”
