The Roscommon County Community Foundation is pleased to announce they have awarded their second #CommunityChoice Grant of the year to the Roscommon Royals Softball Team. The Royals were nominated by the community, and ultimately received the most “likes” resulting in a big win for their team. The Royals were presented with a $1,000.00 grant funded by The Ambassador Club Fund.
The Royals are a traveling youth softball team made up of 10-16 year old girls from Roscommon County and surrounding areas. The team plans to utilize their #CommunityChoice Grant to help cover the costs of new uniforms and players fees. According to Christina Erickson the grant will benefit all girls in our area that are wanting to play travel softball. Erickson stated “Our goal is that every girl has the chance to play on our league and not be put off by the cost.”
