The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce that they have awarded a $1,748.00 grant to Roscommon Township for the Skinner Park Toddler Play Area. The Roscommon County General Fund awarded the funds to support this grant.
With the funds granted, Roscommon Township was able to purchase additional equipment for their interactive play area specifically aimed for children five years old and younger. This grant aided with the purchase of a four-seat teeter, Calvin the caterpillar, a gator walk, and a generation swing for the park.
The goal of this project is to give parents a place they can bring their small children without worry of traffic and with age appropriate equipment. According to Chip McCullough, Park Committee Chair, “The true success would be the smiles on the children’s faces.”
