RCCF Spring 2016 Grant Awards Total $21,976.99 – June

The Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund, an Endowment Fund of the Roscommon County Community Foundation, with recommendations from the Youth

Advisory Council (Y.A.C.), awarded the following grants:
• Children’s Bereavement Network: $525.00 for Camp Live, Laugh, Love 2016
• County of Roscommon: $250.00 for Youth Garden for Juvenile Probationers
• Houghton Lake Public Library: $1,639.59 for Lego Club at the Library
• Lyon Township: $252.00 for Lyon Township Parks-Infant Swings
• Roscommon County Literacy Council: $600.00 for Dolly Parton Imagination Library
• St. Vincent DePaul of Roscommon: $1,000.00 for Diaper and Food Pantry
• Three Lakes Communities That Care: $375.00 for Guiding Good Choices-Parenting Program

The Roscommon County General Fund awarded the following grants:
• Children’s Bereavement Network: $525.00 for Camp Live, Laugh, Love 2016
• Gerrish Township: $1,131.00 for Stop CO Poisoning
• Houghton Lake United Methodist Church: $1,500.00 for HLUMC Food Truck
• Roscommon County Habitat For Humanity: $1,990.00 for Restore Expansion

The Gerrish-Higgins Roscommon Education Fund awarded the following grants:
• Roscommon Area Public Schools: $1,000.00 for Roscommon Spirit Club

The Houghton Lake Educational Foundation Fund awarded the following grants:
• Houghton Lake Community Schools: $500.00 for Principal’s 200 Club
• Houghton Lake Middle School: $1,150.00 for Fourth Grade Camp

The Morley Foundation Fund awarded the following grants:
• Friends of Trestle Park: $328.00 for 2016 Summer Concerts
• Three Lakes Communities That Care: $1,219.00 for Guiding Good Choices-Parenting Program

The Endowment for Higgins Lake Fund awarded $2,500.00 to the Higgins Lake Foundation for the DASH Boat.

The Roscommon County Tobacco Settlement Fund awarded $906.00 to Three Lakes Communities That Care for Guiding Good Choices-Parenting Program.

The Houghton Lake Community School Support Fund awarded $1,345.00 to Houghton Lake Middle School for the Wood Chips Under MS Swings.

The John Morley Family Endowment for Higgins Lake awarded $505.40 to Lyon Township for the Lyon Township Parks Infant Swings.

The Roscommon County Health Improvement Endowment Fund awarded $1,000.00 to the American Cancer Society for the Implementation of Road to Recovery Program in Roscommon County.

The Roscommon County Lakes & Rivers Fund awarded $560.00 to the Friends of Trestle Park for the 2016 Summer Concerts.

The Rogers Family Endowment for Houghton Lake awarded $112.00 to the Friends of Trestle Park for the 2016 Summer Concerts.

The Doug Allen Fire & EMS Support Fund awarded $119.00 to Gerrish Township for the Stop CO Poisoning project.

The Sarah Eulaine Tucker (Class of 1977) Fund awarded $945.00 to the Roscommon Area Youth Booster Club for the RAYBC 2016 European Excursion.
