The Roscommon County Community Foundation recently welcomed their newest member, Scott Rice, to the Board of Trustees.
Scott Rice earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design, and his Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. Since 1996, Scott has been a faculty member at Kirtland Community College’s Art Department. While at Kirtland, he has received many awards throughout the nation as an artist and instructor.
Scott lives in St. Helen with his wife and two sons. He strives to make the community a better place in many different ways. Scott often donates art to raise money for various events and organizations. He also designed the Veteran’s Memorial in St. Helen, as well as the concepts for the pocket parks and gateway designs for St. Helen’s Downtown Development Association.
Scott will certainly be an asset to the RCCF Board of Trustees, and is very eager to make an impact within the community and the lives of those who proud to be a part of it.
