The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce that the 2016 recipient of the Mr. J’s Buckeye Nuts College Scholarship has been selected. This fund provides an annual scholarship for Roscommon Area Public School graduates in their second, third and fourth year of college.
The Johoske Family established this fund in memory of their father, Richard “Coach” or “Pops” Johoske, who was a longtime physical education and science teacher at the Roscommon Middle School.
This year’s recipient of the Mr. J’s Buckeye Nuts College Scholarship is Katie Burmester. Katie will begin her sophomore year in the nursing program at the University of Michigan this fall.
