In 2001, the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve Endowment Fund was established and is used to support and maintain the Nature Preserve as well as to promote their projects and programs.
The Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and maintenance of a balanced habitat that supports a wide variety of plants and animals, and to develop awareness in the community of the value of protecting habitats. The Preserve does extensive programs with our county’s schools to develop outdoor educational activities for pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade students, as well as programs for the community at large.
