The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce that it has awarded a $2,500 grant to the Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center (NMCAC) to assist with family advocate support. This grant is provided by the Roscommon County Health Services Fund.
Since October 2014, the NMCAC has provided services to abused and neglected children. The NMCAC family advocate, the position receiving the grant, meets with every family who receives services. With support from the RCCF, the family advocate will be able to provide families with materials necessary for the child’s healing, including educational and supportive materials and gas cards to eliminate transportation barriers for services.
