The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce they have provided a $700.00 grant to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church to help support their baby pantry and personal care pantry. The Greatest Human Needs Fund ($530.00) and the Marilyn Brown Memorial Fund ($170.00) have awarded the funds to support this project.
According to Martha Clapp, the Good Shepherd baby pantry served 5-10 families a month on average during 2017. In total seventy families have received diapers, wipes, clothes and toys.
The Good Shepherd personal care pantry has served 250-300 families in 2017, averaging 25-30 families every month. Martha Clapp shared, when visiting the personal care pantry families each are given a grocery bag containing laundry, dish and hand soap, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste and shampoo.
