The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) recently provided $950.00 in grant funding to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church for their Soles from the Heart program, Personal Care Pantry, and Baby Pantry. Grand funding was provided by the Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund ($400.00), Morley Foundation Fund ($100.00), Marilyn Brown Memorial Fund ($350.00), and the Cornerstone Fund ($100.00).
Each of these programs aims to provide a necessity to those in need. The Soles from the Heart program provides winter boots to adults and children of all ages, while the Baby Pantry is aimed toward young children, providing clothing, diapers, and wipes. The Personal Care Pantry provides items such as laundry soap, deodorant, toilet paper, and tooth paste to families in need.
Grant funding provided the means to purchase necessary supplies for each of these programs. RCCF’s Executive Director, Suzanne Luck states, “The Foundation is pleased to be able to provide grants to organizations such as Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, whose programs are making a difference in our community.”
