The Roscommon County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Artesia Youth Park was recently awarded a $1,000.00 grant. Funding for this project was provided by the Roscommon County Kellogg Youth Fund.
Funding provided Artesia Youth Park with new energy efficient LED lighting. Updated indoor lighting included their skate park which resulted in allowing for longer hours and making it more energy efficient. Security and signage lighting were also added outdoors. According to Executive Director JoJean Thompson, “Everyone will benefit.” New lighting on the sign out front will allow parents to locate their children easier during evening and after school programs and events. The updated lighting will help everyone utilize that park more safely.
