Tabetha Cross, 36
Co-Director of Cosmetology, Charlton Heston Academy
Tabetha Cross, a proud former student of St. Helen Elementary School and Roscommon High School, embraced the role of Co-Director of Cosmetology at Charlton Heston Academy in 2021. For Tabetha, this position is more than a job—it’s the embodiment of her life’s purpose. Her passion for the beauty industry is matched only by her commitment to teaching students the value of self-confidence and the belief that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
Under Tabetha’s guidance, the cosmetology program at CHA has flourished. She and her co-director have worked tirelessly to create a comprehensive curriculum that empowers students to excel not only in beauty services but also in self-care. Their hard work has paid off, with students earning the opportunity to compete at the Skills USA state competition in both years they participated in regionals.
In addition to her role in cosmetology, Tabetha identified a need for music education at CHA and founded the “Singers Club.” Alongside another dedicated parent, she brought the joy of music to the hallways and concerts of CHA over the past two school years, with performances at local nursing homes, school events, and various concerts.
Tabetha is also a devoted single mother of two. Her daughter Coco, 11, is an aspiring artist, while her son Sonny, 5, is a brilliant young boy on the autism spectrum. Raising awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a cause close to Tabetha’s heart.
