Jessica MacHue, 36
Family Physician
Jessica MacHue’s roots in Roscommon run deep, tracing back four generations. Raised in Roscommon and a 2006 graduate of Roscommon High School, Jessica pursued her education at Northern Michigan University before entering medical school at Wayne State University. She completed her Family Medicine residency in Kingsport, Tennessee, where she also met and married her husband, Dan, a fellow physician and Navy veteran. The couple moved overseas to Okinawa, Japan, on military orders, where they spent four transformative years and welcomed their first child. Shortly before leaving Okinawa in 2022, they welcomed their second child.
After Dan’s military service, the family returned to Roscommon in May 2022 to raise their children in the community they love. Jessica has worked as a family physician in Prudenville for the past two years and recently completed her Master’s in Public Health from Ferris State University. She also serves as a Girl Scout troop leader for first-grade girls and has been involved in organizing the Firemen’s Memorial parade alongside her mother and grandfather since her teenage years. Jessica enjoys supporting community events and fundraisers and looks forward to becoming even more deeply involved in the future.
“I love watching my children grow and thrive in this community I love. It has been amazing to see people I grew up with coach and teach them, and to watch our children become friends. Connecting with people in this new capacity as a community member has been incredibly rewarding. As a physician, it is a special privilege to care for people from my community, several of whom I know from my childhood. I have gained a much deeper sense of the identity and needs of the area through my work with patients.”
Dr. MacHue is supporting the Roscommon Rotary Club General Fund.
