Jeffrey Goodwin, 36

Jeffrey Robert Goodwin, a lifelong Houghton Lake resident, is deeply rooted in the community. He lives with his wife Dawn and their four children—Isaiah (14), Preston (11), Henry (3), and Emilia (8 months). A proud graduate of Houghton Lake High School (2005) and Central Michigan University (2011), Jeff has dedicated his career to Houghton Lake Community Schools for the past 14 years. His diverse roles include serving as a special education teacher, varsity basketball and baseball coach, JV football coach, Dean of Students at Community Education, and currently, Principal at Houghton Lake Jr./Sr. High School. Jeff also earned his Master’s Degree from Marygrove College in 2015.
Outside of his professional life, Jeff is actively involved in youth coaching within the community, including football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. His wife, Dawn, is the President of the Houghton Lake Sports Boosters, sharing his passion for supporting local youth. When not engaged in work or coaching, the Goodwin family enjoys traveling together.
