Emily Barber, 37
Owner, White Pine and Petals/Addie Beth’s/Get on Board N’ Graze
Emily Barber is a proud native of Roscommon, where she was born, raised, and educated. An alumna of Roscommon Area Public Schools, she went on to earn her Master’s in Business, which has been instrumental in fueling her passion for entrepreneurship. Emily owns three thriving businesses in Roscommon: White Pine and Petals, Addie Beth’s, and Get on Board N’ Graze. In addition to being a successful business owner, she is also a devoted mother to three children, wife to a supportive husband, and a fur momma to a menagerie of dogs, cats, and chickens.
For Emily, Roscommon is more than just a place to live; it’s a community that embodies the true meaning of “it takes a village.” She cherishes the deep connections and relationships that form naturally in this close-knit area. “Living in Roscommon, you learn about people, you get to create relationships with people, but most of all, you get to help each other, sometimes without even knowing it,” Emily says. The community’s collective spirit of care, passion, and support is palpable, whether you’re strolling through the streets or witnessing neighbors rallying around those in need.
Emily is deeply committed to giving back to the community that has shaped her. She is a SCORE Mentor, the current President of the Higgins Lake Roscommon Chamber of Commerce, and a foster and assistant with Rosco Rescue. Additionally, Emily serves on the Community Garden Board and is an active participant in the garden itself. Her commitment to personal and community growth is further reflected in her recent selection to participate in a Leadership Program, an opportunity she eagerly embraces to enhance her leadership skills for the benefit of her businesses and the broader community.
Emily is supporting the Karen and Frank Arleth Memorial Scholarship.
