Roscommon Area Public Schools Assistant Superintendent
Desiree’ Baerlocher is a proud alumni of Roscommon High School and has dedicated her career to education in her hometown. After completing her teaching and Master’s degree at Saginaw Valley State University, Desiree’ spent seven years as a teacher and leader in the Bay City Public Schools before returning to Roscommon. She is now entering her eighth year with Roscommon Area Public Schools, where she has served as Assistant Principal at RMS/RES and Principal at Roscommon Elementary. This upcoming year, Desiree’ will take on the role of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
Outside of work, Desiree’ enjoys spending quality time with her husband, a fellow Roscommon alumnus, their three daughters, and their two German Shorthairs. The family loves camping, boating, hiking, running, and exploring new places together.

Desiree’ deeply values the strong sense of community in Roscommon that supported her throughout her life. Her support for the Gerrish-Higgins Educational Fund at RCCF reflects her desire to give back to the community that shaped her. The fund provides educational resources, including scholarships, to the Roscommon Area Public School District, benefiting students and faculty. Desiree’ is honored to support a cause that continues to foster the growth and success of children in her beloved hometown.
