Crystal Brabant, 30
Gymnastics Coach and Business Owner
Crystal Brabant is the dynamic owner and coach at Skye High Gymnastics in Roscommon. A passionate entrepreneur, Crystal has made significant strides in youth athletics by helping young athletes realize their potential through gymnastics, aerial skills, competitive cheer, and more. Under her leadership, Skye High Gymnastics has grown to include new locations in Gaylord and Grayling, in addition to the original Roscommon site. Crystal’s enthusiasm for recreation extends beyond gymnastics, as she is also deeply involved in canoe racing.
Recognizing a need in the community, Crystal began her journey as a coach at the CRAF Center when the previous coach moved away. She saw the value in continuing and expanding the gymnastics program for the benefit of local youth. Not only did she take on the coaching role, but she also purchased a vacant building to grow her business, dramatically improving the building’s appearance and enhancing the opportunities available to the community. As her business expanded, Crystal introduced new programs, including dance and cheer, creating more avenues for physical fitness and community engagement.
Crystal’s contributions to the community go beyond her role as a business owner. She is an active supporter of the AuSable Canoe Marathon, and her teams regularly participate in local parades and community events, instilling a sense of pride and involvement in her athletes. Crystal is also an accomplished artist, adding another dimension to her community involvement. Her commitment to fostering a positive environment for youth, along with her dedication to beautifying and enriching the community, makes her an inspiring role model for others.
