Ben Elliott, 31
Risk Advisor at Diebold Insurance Agency
Ben Elliott grew up in West Branch, Michigan, and graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 2011. He is currently on the RCCF Board of Trustees. As a lifelong Spartan fan, he attended Michigan State University, earning a degree in economics in 2015. After graduating, Ben worked in Metro Detroit and Grand Rapids before returning to Lansing to start his career in insurance. After working for three years in Lansing, Ben and his now-wife, Cayden (Royce), moved to Houghton Lake in 2019. He moved back north to begin working for his family business, Diebold Insurance Agency. Ben splits his time between Prudenville and West Branch as a personal insurance risk advisor. He has served as the treasurer of the Houghton Lake Rotary Club since 2020 and, since 2023, has been the Rotary Interact advisor at Houghton Lake High School. Ben and Cayden enjoy spending time with their two pets, Chubbs (cat) and Perdy (black lab), traveling, and spending time with friends. As an MSU alumnus, he cheers passionately for the Spartans in all sports and enjoys traveling back to East Lansing for football games. He also enjoys hunting and golfing with friends, and his passion is spending time with those he loves.
Why Ben loves his community:
Ben loves the collection of people who work hard every day to make the community a better place. The organizations within Roscommon County address needs that aren’t always provided for and work tirelessly to support those in need. In addition to incredible organizations, the community has an outstanding group of students in Roscommon County who have remarkable ideas and work ethics, poised to make meaningful changes in the world.
Ben is supporting the Houghton Lake Rotary Club Memorial Scholarship.
