Amie Whittington is a native of Houghton Lake who has dedicated her career to serving her community. Married to Michael Whittington, and mother to their son Milo, Amie and her family enjoy the outdoors and spending time together in Northern Michigan.
Two years ago, Amie became the Houghton Lake Center Manager for the Roscommon County Commission on Aging. Her role involves helping individuals from all walks of life, whether through planning activities, sharing meals, providing information, or offering support to those in need. Amie is driven by a deep-seated passion for humanitarian work, and her motto, “kindness matters,” reflects her approach to her role.
Amie finds fulfillment in the connections she makes with seniors and the positive impact she can have on their lives. She takes pride in fostering a sense of community and providing resources to those who may feel isolated. Through various initiatives, Amie and her team work to enhance the quality of life for seniors, ensuring they remain engaged and supported.
Amie is supporting the Roscommon County Recreation Fund at RCCF, committed to enriching her community and improving the lives of its members.
