Alex Murphy, 29
Student Success Coach at Kirtland Community College
Alex Murphy was born and raised in Roscommon and lived there for the first 20 years of her life. After graduating from Roscommon High School in 2013, she pursued higher education at Kirtland Community College, where she earned her Associate in Arts and Associate in Business Administration. She then transferred to Grand Valley State University, obtaining a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a focus in Marketing.
After spending several years away from home, Alex returned to Roscommon and joined the staff at Kirtland Community College as a Student Success Coach. In this role, she is dedicated to helping students achieve their educational goals and guiding them toward fulfilling career paths. Being back home has brought her immense joy and fulfillment, especially with much of her family still residing in the area. Alex is excited to continue being an active part of her community and contribute to its ongoing growth.
What Alex Loves About Her Community
Alex is inspired by the growth that has taken place within Roscommon County in recent years. From new businesses to building upgrades and the dedication of educators looking out for the next generation, she sees the community evolving into a small village with big things to offer. Alex is grateful to be involved in the community where she grew up and is eager to participate in the exciting developments ahead.
