The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) is pleased to announce that the 2017 recipient of the Mr. J’s Buckeye Nuts College Scholarship and the Clyde F. Shaltz Memorial Scholarship has been selected. These funds provide an annual scholarship for Roscommon Area Public School graduates in their second, third or fourth year of college.
The Johoske Family established their fund in memory of their father, Richard “Coach” or “Pops” Johoske, who was a longtime physical education and science teacher at the Roscommon Middle School.
The Clyde F. Shaltz Memorial Scholarship was established to honor long time Roscommon High School teacher. To be eligible for this award, the student must be enrolled in a teacher education program.
This year, RCCF is thrilled to award Paige Patterson with both scholarships. Miss Patterson is attending Central Michigan University and is majoring in Special Education.
